These are some of our favourite holiday activities in Brighton.
.01 Bethlehem in Brighton

If you have young children, this Christmas activity is ideal for your family. Activities include putting on a dramatic version of the epic Nativity scene, as well as taking photos in costume. Families will also enjoy visiting farm animals, making holiday crafts, and eating homemade treats.

.02 Twilight Christmas Festival

Bring your entire to experience this twilight Christmas festival. It features an array of family friendly activities, including old-fashioned games, arts and crafts; artisan crafts stalls, Christmas carols and sing-alongs. You have an option of bringing your own picnic dinner or trying food from any of the food trucks on-site.

* When: December 9, 2016
* Where: Rippon Lea House & Garden
* Cost: $10 for adults, $7.50 for children or $30 for a family

.03 Carols in the Park

Come celebrate the magic of the season by attending Bayside Council’s free Carols in the Park. There will be some children’s activities starting at 5 p.m., with the official festivities beginning at 7:30 p.m. You’ll hear a mixture of classic and new holiday favourites. Make a night of it as there will be over a dozen food trucks at the event and it will end with a colourful fireworks display.

.04 Christmas Shopping

Get some of your holiday shopping done at Church Street outdoor shops. The shopping district houses a plethora of shops, ranging from high fashion apparel to house wares to specialty cafes. In the spirit of the season, you’ll find the main areas decorated in old-fashioned lights and wreaths as you peruse the shops.

.05 Christmas Day Meal and New Year’s Eve Ball

Celebrate the holidays right at your hotel by dining at Brighton Savoy’s Seaview Restaurant for Christmas Lunch or Dinner or attending their New Year’s Eve Ball. The entire family will love Christmas Lunch or Dinner with a high-quality three-course meal, visits with Santa, and classic carols. Consider attending the New Year’s Eve Ball for a night out as you dance the night away to a band playing classic hits of the 1960s and 1970s.
