.01 Mellow Fellow
Mellow Fellow is a 30 years-old shophouse that was renovated into a boutique hostel. Cute design with limited space to make the best of all functions for every guests staying with them. The hostel has dormitory type beds (8 bed and 4 bed). Personal lockers, free Wi-Fi in room and key card access are provided. Bathrooms are shared and which also comes with free toiletries and hairdryer. Perfect for backpackers who wants to save on check-in luggage fee and spend the extra dollar on authentic Thai massage.
As a budget (occasionally fancy) traveller, staying at a place that is clean and feels like home wherever I go is the key factor I look for in accomodation at any price range. Mellow Fellow has a range of facilities (i.e. kitchenette , microwave , hot water boiler, refridgerator, toaster, TV, board games and books) suited for travellers who wants to experience living like the locals. Priced at about RM40/night ($10/night), I truly believe you will find your money's worth. Did I mention the cool common area where we could all sip some beer whilst watching youtube videos in the evening? #LIFE

.02 Luz Hostel
Luz Hostel is 300 m from Sukhumvit Road and a short walk to the nearest BTS Nana station (600 m) or Phloen Chit BTS Station (800 m). Taxi haggling can be quite intense in Bangkok therefore staying somewhere which is a walking distance to the heart of the city is a great way to save on transportation cost. Surrounded by various local shopping centers (i.e. Central Embassy, Gaysorn Plaza, Central World, Terminal 21 and the Em District) and eateries along Sukhumvit Road and only 400 m away from Arab Street, only means that food is easily accessible and we are giving extra brownie points for that. A Muay Thai gym is only 5 mins away from the hostel. Speaking about the common area, you will find comfortable cushions, hammock, TV and Free WIFI. Yes please.
I love how Luz Hostel offers a modern style accommodation in a hostel setting with a personal touch. Each of our space has been carefully thought out to make you feel right at home and we encourage guests to interact with one another. Simple & laidback Scandanavian interior is right up my alley. Priced at approximately RM60/night ($15/night) there is no reason for anyone to pass on such a great stay.

.03 Once Again Hostel
"Once Again Hostel is a place where you will have hundreds of locals as your warm and welcoming hosts that will most certainly make you feel as though you are traveling back in time to the bliss of life inside a small close-knit village. What makes us different is that we take pride in our surroundings and embrace them wholeheartedly.
With an ideal location and facilities to match, Once Again Hostel hits the spot in many ways. A walking distance and you will be at the energetic and packed Khao San Road, add 15 minutes and you will marvel the amazing Grand Palace, the incredible Wat Pho and the iconic Chao Phaya. If the amazing view of our Rooftop is not enough, just visit the nearby Golden Mount to see Bangkok from one of the most unique temples in the city.
Our dorms are top-class with air con and super fast wifi, bigger built-in beds with personal locker, personal light and curtain/door for privacy. Once Again offers impeccable service and all the essential amenities to invigorate travelers such as magnificent shower, tv/movie room, 24-hour security, daily housekeeping, tours and the Holiday Cafe and Restaurant can all be enjoyed at the hostel."
Priced at approximately RM56/night ($14/night). Paying to feel like royalty sleeping in a room with beautiful interior, free breakfast, free coffee and tea at all times and also easy access to Cafe Velodome which is situated at the Ground Floor. Speechless once again. seewhatIdidthere. Once Again Hostel is crowing my list. An explosion of sophistication blended with a cool back alley vibe and an oh-so original aesthetic.
