Nerd Travels // Tasmania Day 7 + Day 8

Day 7

So guys, Ms.Nerdy heard about MONA [Museum of Old and New Art] through travel blogs. Felt intrigued so without even hesitating, I bought a pass [Ferry tickets + Museum Pass] in advance and went solo. To be honest, I was extremely excited about the fact that I'm going to an artsy place. Like for once not spending my time in the supermarket comparing prices of chocolate chip cookies, manufacturing dates of peanut butter and wandering on the streets like a homeless person. No judgments people!

Visit to the museum was something way out of my comfort zone. Thought I could do art museums in the dark but not till I accidentally bumped into an Eypyptianmummycasket thangthatmademelosemysoul. Phew~

After visiting, my instinct told me to get a bottle of beer and dessert. So that's what I did! Moo brew beer and chocolate eclairs on the roof top garden of MONA with seaview and flying seagulls. #diva

Day 8

Hobart > Melbourne

Final day in Tassie. Urgh don't wanna leave...but a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do. Packed up, went for the final breakfast at <Machine Laundry Cafe> then headed straight to the airport. [Food review

I've been to Melbourne in year 2014. Melbourne looks the same but weirdly enough, everything felt different to me. Last year I was in the midst of graduating, had little-to-none worries, was in a stable relationship, had a dream, was jobless and had no idea where my direction was career wise. Basically a zero. As at today, everything has changed. I'm single, financially sufficient, have a vision, been to several countries I've not step foot in and ultimately started my career and a blog that I feel blessed about.

Travelling makes me think of what I've had and what I have. What about you? Also, how gorgeous is my faux fur scarf from

Food In Tasmania // Machine Laundry Cafe

A place with major personality. The <Machine Laundry Cafe> reminded me of restaurants in the 90s where hipster kids would hang out at. There were washing machines spinning literally. Also, a little walled-humour tickled my funny bone. Stood there reading every single piece of poster & artwork stuck onto the mint green wall whilst waiting for my food to be served.

Ordered the oh-so typical brunch option. Bacon on toast with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. The toast was normal, good, because we were spoiled by the fantastic sourdough from

so it wasn't a huge breakthrough. However, those poached eggs and coffee were delightful. Aromatic and way stronger than the others I've had in town. Yet again, the place was packed by locals so you know its a must go when you're in Hobart, Tasmania.

Snagged some free postcards on the wall and saw a lady chowing her cereal bowl thing. Darn. Wish I had that so now it only means I gotta head back for that cereal, coffee and free postcards. Hehe.

Nerd Travels // Tasmania Day 5 + Day 6

DAY 5

Coles Bay > Hobart

If there really is a day where I could climb those slopes and walk across Freycinet National Park just once more, I would. Yet again, I felt my heartbeat and noticed it slowing down as I stood at the edge of Wineglass bay's lookout point and on the curvy bridge gazing upon the endless Tasman Sea. Life is beautiful, only when you start noticing it.

DAY 6

Had an amazing brunch at Jackman & McRoss [Yummylicious review

] followed by an easy stroll around Battery Point. Loved it. Lucky ass us because the weather was too beautiful to be true and we saw Mount Wellington with snow drizzles from afar! Drove to Salamanca Place then did some dora exploration with little brother. On a side note, little did we know that we have le unintentional bad ass face. So proud of it, thanks mum!
