Nerd Travels // A Gimpse of Krabi .02

Sincerely hoping you dear readers enjoyed Krabi .01 and hasn't fallen asleep yet. Let's carry on and wrap up this travel series before the next trip comes up shall we?

This shot was taken on Bamboo Island. Aside from stunning Maya Beach, this place got me in awe and I can't wait to go back already. Told my family the sand on Bamboo Island felt like milk powder and I wasn't joking.

Seriously should have rented the ฿100 beach mat for some quality nap time with classy snores & mouth wide open. Most couples/families rented that and giggled their way off  whilst I sat on the hot sand blistering my arse like an idiot. Come on. Which ones better?!

Krabi was an adventurous one. Due to time constraints, we weren't able to join the Sea-Kayaking Tour. Planning for a revisit sometime soon because kayaking through different eco-systems, passing mangroves, canyons and caves is something we haven't done before. Can't wait to explore hidden lagoons and get our feet buried in warm sand whilst watching the sunset.

We stayed at Aonang Beach which was easily accessible to food places and the most happening part of Aonang. Since Krabi has a famous Night Market which operates from Fri-Sun only, we booked a ฿800 tuk tuk to town. It turned out to be pure hype and nothing remarkable at all. Food was alright so we left the tourist trap after dinner.

If visiting Krabi, Thailand is on the top of your travel list, here are some activities you can consider doing:
.01 Island Hopping and Snorkeling [Bamboo Island, Maya Bay, Maya Beach, Koh Phi Phi, Monkey watching] ฿1400
02 Jungle ATV Ride ฿1200
.03 Cliff Climbing ฿1000
.04 Aonang Walking Street
.05 Temporary Henna Tattoo ฿400

Feeling guilty for planting my brother next to the toilet sign but I guess he understands? Haha. A Krabi accomodation recommendation is coming up soon. x

It was a last minute decision. But I'm glad I went for it even though knowing it would be an awkward one. Awkward. Trust me that 101% of people goes to Krabi for their honeymoon and I was on the boat with a motion sickness pill and a small straw hat to shield my sleepy face from the blazing sunshine and perhaps pda*.  I shall bare with it since the ocean was magical.

There were days I crave the shore, the sunlight, sea breeze and warm sand. There is something about the turquoise ocean and blue sky that makes me think twice upon the frowns I had and time that has been wasted. Sat on a piece of abandoned log at the leftest side of the beach. Above was a rocky cliff that stretched outwards shadowing me against the sun.

There were couples holding hands, parents chasing after their child and most of all, tourist taking selfies and posing away till the tide falls. Is it worth doing so as we miss out and let the moment slip away? I don't know.

The beauty of mother nature continues to astound me and I can't wait to explore more x A tropical getaway packing list is coming up on Friday 25th. Hope to see your beautiful faces around. There might also be a .02 of our Krabi expedition coming your way. Do stay tuned.
